Speedglas True-View with Highest Possible Optical Rating
The difference is easy to see. Yes, in the light state it is still shade 3! But what you see through the TrueView welding lens appears less green, lighter, more detailed and clearly more colourful. In fact, the improved auto darkening welding lens optics can make your entire viewing experience feel more natural. When combined with the Speedglas welding mask peripheral SideWindows you experience a view like no other...
No more tunnel vision! Previously hidden peripheral hazards (beams, obstacles and other workers) are now visible through two, shade 5 SideWindow lenses (conventional shade 13 protection). The huge Speedglas 9100XXi lens combined with the Speedglas peripheral SideWindows gives you the largest welding helmet viewing area available on the market.
Every time you pick up the welding helmet, the 3M Speedglas 9100XXi welding lens immediately turns ON to your last used welding setting. And it automatically turns itself OFF after a period of non-movement. The Speedglas 9100XXi features photo-sensors capable of detecting an arc down to an industry-leading 1 amp with the all-important centre sensor for TIG applications.
The Speedglas 9100 head harness changed the game regarding comfort, customisation and built-in features. The 3M 9100 harness provides multiple adjustment combinations so you can tailor the helmet to fit your personal preferences. The harness features two crown straps to distribute weight, a smooth ratchet mechanism for precise tightening and a perfectly balanced parked position when raised. Less pressure - and a perfectly-adjusted, personal fit - means more comfort, all day long. Not available on safety helmet options.
One of the most popular PAPR's in the world, the award-winning Adflo PAPR has become synonymous with welder's powered air protection and provides increased respiratory protection (RMPF 50) and comfort all day long. Super light, narrow and comfortable the 3M Adflo PAPR can protect against particles, nuisance odours and gases. Recently launched with One Hour Rapid Charge the welding respirator system can give the welder an approximate run time of 8-12 hours.
Your helmet is ON, your shield is down...and with a quick push of an external button, you are locked into shade 3, ready to grind. Another push and you're ready to weld again. You don't even have to take off a glove! Or with the Speedglas 9100 FX, simply flip-up the lens to reveal a curved 170x100mm clear grinding visor.
Push the external button for 2-3 seconds to load one of your two available preset welding modes. Once set, the memory mode retains its own individual setting for dark shade, light-to-dark switching sensitivity, and dark-to-light delay. Once both set, by just pushing and holding the external button for 2-3 seconds, you can switch between your two preset modes. For example, you can switch between low-amp TIG and high-amp MIG welding settings at the press of a button. Available on the 3M Speedglas 9100XXi and 9100XXi QR models.
Speedglas 9100 features a revolving three year warranty. Experience a problem with the helmet in the first three years and your 3 year warranty protection starts again. Speedglas auto darkening welding helmets are built to last.
