The 3M DBI-SALA Delta welder’s harness is specifically designed for use in harsh welding environments where sparks and slag can quickly ruin standard polyester-constructed harnesses.
Built to handle the heat
The Delta welder’s harness is built tough and offers a swag of features that set it apart from the rest. Built with an innovative 100% Kevlar fibre webbing, the Delta harness is arc flash, flame, heat and cut resistant – making it perfect for working in hot and high voltage environments where fall protection is a necessity. A flame resistant Nomex™ outer cover will not melt and delivers 480°C degrees char temperature, while the Kevlar™ fibre core provides heat resistance up to 350°C degrees.
Another unique feature of the Delta welder’s harness is its dielectric hardware. Featuring front fall arrest rated loops, a large rear dielectric fall arrest rated D-ring, dielectric 2/3 bar slide buckles on the chest and leg straps along with easily adjustable dielectric torso buckles, the Delta harness is certified and approved to AS/NZS 1891.1. Its arc flash resistance capabilities make it ideal for working in high-voltage electrical environments where static build-up and energy transfer is an issue, as arc flashes may result in melting or damage to standard harnesses, leading to failure to arrest a subsequent fall.
The innovative webbing used in the Delta welding harness is high in strength but also flexible and soft to touch, with fully adjustable shoulder, chest, waist and leg straps making for a perfect, comfortable fit every time.
