Brother Frank and sister Belinda, own and operate FP Chassis in Campbellfield, Victoria. With over 30 years of industry experience behind the family at FP Chassis, they pride themselves on producing high-quality chassis and treating their staff and customers the way they would like to be treated.
How it all started
A few months back, Frank and Belinda read the Welding Fume White Paper regarding the reclassification of welding fume as carcinogenic to humans. After careful consideration, they made the decision to provide all their welders with the Speedglas 9100 FX Air with Adflo Powered Air Purifying Respirator. A top-of-the-line auto-darkening welding helmet integrated with a powered air respiratory system that supplies air 50 times cleaner than the welder would otherwise be breathing unprotected.
“Our company manufacturers a quality product, therefore, it was important to us to ensure that our welders were also provided with the best quality product to give them the protection they required”, said Belinda when asked why they chose the Speedglas 9100 FX Air to protect their welders.
What steps did you take from there?
To ensure the welders were getting the desired protection and the best use from the new Adflo PAPR’s, Frank and Belinda organised a free training session with their local AWS sales manager. Ian Raymond, the Victorian territory manager conducted a training session for Belinda and their workshop leading hand. As part of the free training, Ian also left Belinda with Wall Charts that displayed a breakdown of all relevant spare parts and consumables for their new respiratory systems to make their lives easier when it came time to order new filters or cover lenses.
“The most important thing for any caravan is the foundation beneath it. The most important thing to ensure we continue to deliver quality foundations is the health and wellbeing of our staff”.
