Student Powered Air Program

AWS have teamed up with Weld Australia to deliver a Student Powered Air Program for all those currently studying a welding related field at TAFE!

This national safety initiative has been devised to educate and encourage the next generation of welders to use Welding Helmets with integrated Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR's). Watch the video below to find out more.

What benefits are on offer?

By signing up to the 2020 Student Powered Air Program, TAFE students are entitled to:

  • 25% off a 3M Speedglas Powered Air Respirator
  • Free membership to Weld Australia
  • 1 x Free AS/NZS ISO 9606-1 Welder Qualification upload to the AWCR through Weld Australia
  • 10% discount on ALL Speedglas spares and consumables

How do I join the program?

To be eligible for the Student Powered Air Program, you must be a current TAFE student studying in a welding related field with a valid TAFE student card.

If you meet these requirements, simply fill out your information in the form below to join the program! Alternatively, you may have already received a Powered Air Program card from your local AWS specialist. If so, use the unique codes and instructions on the back of the card to access your benefits.
